Niche Marketing Wizard Review
Yesterday I bought “Niche Marketing Wizard: The Secrets To Finding Red Hot Niches That Virtually Guarantee Your Success Online”" by Richard Adams and I have just finished going through it, so let me share my review with you.
IN A NUTSHELL
First, let me give you a quick summary of “Niche Marketing Wizard: The Secret To Finding Red Hot Niches That Virtually Guarantee Your Success Online”:
Richard uses a 5 step method to increase the odds that any niche he picks is going to be a winner (that is, a money maker). His approach is– “let’s find out what people are buying then sell it to them” but he comes at the process in a more organized way than most folks… and since taking this more thorough approach, he has found himself making a lot more money.
Okay Richard, we’re listening!
He has found ways to identify those who are in buying mode from those who are just looking for information. This is a critical distinction if you plan to make money by selling stuff, whether it’s your stuff or somebody else’s stuff with you as the affiliate marketer. Either way the market’s got to have real buyers in it.
As Richard puts it, the battle is won or lost by the research you do before you set up your website and begin to market it. Pick the right kind of niches and you can make a healthy income even when you don’t get a lot of traffic.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Like so many successful “under the radar” internet marketers (ie, people you and I have never heard of but who are earning themselves a good online income), Richard started out as a failure.
Then he figured out why it wasnt working for him and he changed his approach. Now he shares his successful method with any who want to know.
Richard Adams has a collection of successful niche marketing websites, although he doesn’t brag about how much money he is making nor how many sites he’s got. Nor does he reveal any of his successful websites – and you shouldn’t do that either because somebody will clone them and you’ll lose some of what’s working so well for you.
He does, however, tell us that many of his niche sites are #1 in Google for their particular keyphrases.
Okay Richard, now we’re really listening!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE BOOK
So here are some of the highlights I jotted down as I worked my way through this “niche selection manual”.
Page 6 – An interesting lesson for internet marketers from the money market. There’s some wisdom here.
Page 8 – “A niche isn’t a keyword. Our job is to not only find a suitable niche but also find the right keywords to go with it ? that is what niche marketing is all about.” (The material in quotes here is taken directly from the report.)
Page 11 – “Is Niche Selection An Art Or A Science? Many ?gurus? will tell you their ?formula? for selecting a niche to market in. Sometimes it’s as basic as doing a few keyword searches. They’ll tell you that you need over X number of searches per month and less than Y competing sites and once you have found that gem you’re on easy street. Hopefully, dear reader you appreciate things aren’t that easy”.
Page 13 – The 5 step niche research and selection process is introduced. On the one hand, much of what he covers was not new to me but Richard Adams (a Brit, I believe) puts it together in a sensible and unique way. The order in which he does the 5 steps makes sense… and it delivers the results he’s getting.
Page 31 – How to get ClickBank information that is much more detailed than CB themselves publish in their Marketplace. Not just the basics like gravity, but also sales trends and the all-important keywords that are driving the traffic to these products. See page 30, too.
THIS OPENED MY EYES
Page 42 – A fabulous tip (I never thought of this before) about how one profitable niche site can lead you to a handful of other profitable markets in UN-related fields. This was entirely new to me, so even experienced marketers can still get significant value from this “niche research manual”.
Page 44 – How to find the top keywords which are driving traffic to any major site (well, most major sites). Two more ways on page 46.
Page 45 – Who publishes the most accurate traffic data – Alexa, Compete or Quantcast? Astonishingly you need to multiply some of the published figures (that so many would-be niche marketers rely on!) by 10-15 times to be accurate. No wonder so many aspiring internet marketers are getting nowhere! – the figures they are relying on are wonky.
Page 49 – A quick and easy way to test whether a niche that looks promising is actually going to make you any money. This is a great little risk reduction strategy.
Page 51 – An important section on: Understanding “Buy” Words. As throughout this report, examples are given — in this case, we have examples of the difference between the kind of words that info-hunters will type into the search engines versus what buyers will type in. If most of the searches are done by information hunters, this could be a good niche to cross off your short list.
ASTONISHING
Page 62 – What Is The Best Keyword Tool? is a devastating section. Richard knows the actual traffic volume which he gets for 4 sites he owns which are all #1 in the search engines for their keywords. He fed those keywords into 4 of the top free keyword research tools that are available, and one paid tool. Then he compared the traffic *they* say exists for his keywords with what he *actually* gets according his website’s statistics… and the results are astonishing. You’ll shake your head when you see how far off some of the most popular keyword tools are.
Again, it’s no wonder so many people miss out on the money that’s available in the niches. They’re relying on inaccurate data. His niche research system minimizes that risk and puts the odds solidly in your favor.
FOR EXAMPLE
Throughout the report, he works with a single niche (how to play the guitar) as his example so you get to see how one particular subject gets explored using dozens of sites and tools. No, you dont have to use them all. He’s just being thorough.
You will be pleased to know that most of the tools and sites he refers to are free. The PDF includes screenshots of the way he explores the guitar playing niche and its related keyphrases. This of course makes it all easier to grasp and when you are doing the same searches for niches you are exploring, you’ve got the screenshots to guide you.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. This 62 page detailed report is not for the casual reader. It’s got too much meat for the casual reader. But then again the casual marketer is not going to be making much money.
2. Battlers should buy this. If you are frustrated because you’ve set up a handful of niche sites that have all missed the boat, and you really want to know why – and how to improve your lousy track record, study this.
3. Experienced marketers can learn a few gems, as I did (see pages 42, 45, 62 above).
4. Dont be put off by the fact that the testimonials are all from people with no surnames like Dan, Frank and Nikki. Having bought and read this report, I agree with what they say.
