Easy Test To See If Your Computer Is Infected By Dangerous Conficker Worm
By eProfitNews.org | April 11th, 2009Conficker, considered to be potentially one of the nastiest worms to hit the Internet in quite a while, has finally woken up. It’s downloading updates, which security analysts suspect to be keyloggers or other code designed to steal information from infected machines.
To see if your machine is infected, go to
http://www.talkbiz.com/confickertest/
It’s an extremely simple test. Load the page and see if you get all 6 pictures. If you do, you’re unlikely to be infected. The explanation is VERY short, and included on the page.
Feel free to pass that URL around to anyone you like. The more people know if their systems are infected, the better.
If you find that you’re are likely to have the worm on your machine, immediately disconnect from the Internet. Find a machine that isn’t infected, and get a copy of Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Do not reconnect to the Internet until you’ve run that on the infected machine.

Great article here. I just had conficker in my desktop 3 months ago and I almost want to throw my PC outside my window because of it. I had my friend to fixed it but I never did ask him how he fixed it. This tip is very informative. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing such a handy test. This may be an old post but people really need to read up on Conficker again as it is still in the wild and predicted to return to wreak more havock real soon.

Conficker was quite a big virus for a while and a skeany one at it but at least it wasn’t deleting your files or stuff like that.

The fear of the conflicker is another Y2k and just may not be as bad as some make it out to be.

Malware bytes has done the best work and keeping my computer free from infection. I would reccomend checking it out if you are having computer problems.
