Is this really effective? I have always heard that Google does not like duplicate content and this will give you nothing but that.

I have had experiences of Google not likeing duplicate content. It isn’t very nice!

As far as I’m aware this is not very good for the search engine crawlers. When you update content that already exist and have being indexed. Yo0u stand the chance of being penalised for duplicate content issue.
