More Traffic, More Site Visibility, Free
By eProfitNews.org | November 13th, 2008Let’s say you are wanting to increase traffic to a particular web page. One free way to do that is to use Onlywire to add this page to all the sites which they link to.
And it’s FREE.
Here’s how you do that, using my page on the how using the Top Commentators plugin can get you hundreds of instant backlinks as the example.
Did you know that you can get a ton of free backlinks simply by adding your comments to WordPress blogs that use the Top Commentator plugin? Well, you can. And the above page tells you how that works. Definitely worth checking out whether you own a site or not.
STEP 1.
Add the Onlywire code to the page. You can put it anywhere but just before the closing body tag seems the best place. Here’s the code to add, except you need to change the square brackets [ ] to regular HTML brackets < >. You change nothing else. Make sure this is one long line of code, not 2 or 3 lines – in other words, if there are any line breaks when you copy the code, remove them. Also, remove the two asterisks (*) which I had to put in so the code would display here (rather than execute).

STEP 2.
Open your web page and click on the ‘Add to Onlywire’ link. You have to login to your free account at Onlywire.com and if this is your first time, you will need to join some of the sites they submit to. Obviously the more you join, the more benefit you get. Again, all this is FREE.
STEP 3.
The new page at Onlywire will already have the title and URL filled in automatically, like this:
Title: Instant Backlinks – Top Commentators Plugin Used Here
URL: http://nichemarketingexplained.com/internet-marketing/top-commentators-plugin-used-here-hundreds-of-pages-means-hundreds-of-backlinks/
If you like, you can edit the title. You will see that’s what I did as the original title on the blog post was a bit long.
(I find that I need to go back to my webpage after I’ve logged in to Onlywire and click the ‘Add to Onlywire’ link again — then it autofills the fields.)
STEP 4.
You have to fill in the ‘Tags’ field with your own keywords or keyphrases, then click the submit button. In a few seconds, Onlywire returns you to your webpage. Here is what I entered:
top+commentators+plugin plugin top+commentators wordpress backlinks instant+backlinks free+backlinks free+oneway+backlinks google+backlinks gratis+backlinks free+backlinks
Notice that you use the plus sign as a word separator inside multi-word tags. And you use the space as a separator between the tags.
If you’re wondering where I got all those search terms from, I opened up http://keyworddiscovery.com/search.html and typed in ‘get in google’.
Enjoy the extra traffic.

How can i do this in a wordpress template because its php coded?
I really like this idea and i’m on onlywire now. But i just need to know how to install the code on my blog at http://247coolprofits.com. I think i have to replace my recent comments with the top commenters plugin.

Jerry, you can add the onlywire code to the footer.php file of your WordPress installation. Use FTP to access it. Keep a copy of the original footer.php in case you muck it up. Look at the code for this site and you will see where I placed the onlywire code. Easy peasy.

Jerry, I looked at your site. The simple solution is to find this bit of code which should be in your footer.php

I use a pipe (|) to separate if I need to for visual purposes.

Oops. It looks like some of the code I copied here executed instead of displaying. It must be too late at night for me.
Anyway, I hope you get the idea. Stick the onlywire code before the break which looks like this minus the + signs: < +br /+>
I put the + there to stop the code from executing, ie. doing its thing.

1- In reference to step 1 is there any part of the code we have to replace and do you get the code from onlywire?
2- You indicate you used keyword discovery for the tags. I tried that same search term get in google and could not find any of the tags you used?

2 – KeywordDiscovery.com shows us the terms people have searched for. Google is where they would do their searching (or some of it).
The Google Keyword External Tool (look it up in Google) will no doubt give the same list, or a bigger one.

Guten Tag! Ah ha! Another place to submit sites. It seems like these social bookmarking sites keep popping up a new one every week. But I will not complain, as I would be silly not to take advantage of the traffic! Good find, and they actually have a very good pagerank too.
