Searching For A Online Business Opportunity?
July 14th, 2010If you’re looking for a home business opportunity on the internet then it can be a bit of a maze. There are so many different opportunities out there it’s easy to get overwhelmed, plus the fact that there are scams out there and un-ethical people wanting to make a quick buck. It can get tricky!
There is certainly money to be made in this industry as there are lots of folks making full time income and more. It is important though that you know what you are doing and are willing to put in the effort required.
I have mostly dealt with the MLM business model and also direct sales. There are also affiliate marketing models, where you just sell someone else’s product and earn a commission one time.
With an MLM business you will be developing a team of distributors under you. You will earn a commission for the sales that they make. This is a very powerful business model as once you have built a successful team, you will have residual income coming in on autopilot. I would recommend you consider this business model.
Direct sales and top-tier is basically selling a product package and earning a large commission on the front end sale, normally there is not much potential for creating passive wealth as you often just get paid on your teams efforts one level deep. High buy in products are called ‘High Ticket’, they are expensive to join, thus the high commissions, they can be extremely profitable but you will probably have to prospect more folks in order to make a sale. There is definitely advantages to high ticket opportunities, one of these being that you can spend more on advertising.
It’s no good spending $500 to make 5 sales on a $100 product, but with a high ticket business paying a commission of £2,000, it’s very worth it.
Checking the scam forums is always a good way to check out any company you are considering, see if there is any bad press. 99% of the time you will need to find a sponsor, someone you will join under; you need to pick wisely. sadly the truth is that there are many sponsors out there that promise the earth in support and training, but don’t deliver. After you have paid your money to join you may find that they become a little less willing to help you out!
So my advice would be to check out anyone you consider partnering with and please make sure you at least speak to them on the phone, before paying out any money.
Look into the time the company has been around. It can be advantageous to get in early with a newly launched company, but you run the risk of it not working out and being a massive flop. It’s often easier to recruit into a new company than it is into one thats been around for donkeys years. An important question to ask yourself is ‘would the products stand up on their own and sell well without a MLM pay plan attached to them’.
Regardless of what business you are looking to join there are many key factors that you need to take into consideration, missing out on just one could mean your failure in the industry.
