Third, if this is not going to be your main company, will this new endeavor interfere with the corporate you’re operating with now? Does your current company have a clause regarding not operating with other companies? (Most don’t, however generally it’s there.) Is there a conflict of interest between what you’re doing currently and this new company?

Last, and not least, do you really have the time you need to devote to the present new company? Will you really be successful at promoting these new merchandise? Once all, it goes without saying that these new corporations build the offer as a result of they wish your expertise and they want you to push their product to your contacts. Whereas there’s generally no contract that states that you will do something in specific for this new company, you don’t need to induce the reputation for “churning and burning,” taking as abundant as you’ll then bailing out.

Making the choice to expand your horizons should be done with some thought and some due diligence. Research the new company and also the folks involved. Make certain the products you represent don’t conflict with every other. Bear in mind your priorities and who you actually need to work with on a long run basis. Be open to new opportunities; just do not burn your bridges in the process.
