PPC vs SEO: The #1 strategy to get high converting traffic

Traffic would be almost instant for a PPC campaign, however you’ll have to pay for every click to your site. You can also increase traffic with SEO, but you’ll have to be patient because the traffic will take some time. So what happens when you choose the wrong phrase to focus on? SEO unfortunately will let you know in the months to come, however, with a PPC campaign, you might be able to see results in a few minutes.
I have seen this time and time again. In my SEO consultant company, clients often THINK they know what keyword they want me to optimize their site for, but there is no proof. The lesson to learn here is to KNOW which keywords convert to sales before you start your SEO campaign.Don’t spend all of your time focusing on the wrong keyword, make sure you know which ones will bring you more sales.
The first thing I always do, regardless of the website, is to first launch a Pay-Per-Click campaign and follow it up with some really strong Search Engine Optimization. I will never do one without the other, irrispective of what we think about the keywords.
With your PPC campaign, seperate each campaign block by keyword so you can later identify which keyword works the best. Make sure that when you set up this one keyword campaign, that you set the search for “Exact Match”. At the end of the day, you want to isolate the exact phrase used to make a sale. The combinations of words, if not known earlier, will ruin your entire Search Engine Optimization efforts. This is a must do for any SEO campaign.
